Predictive Control Applied to a Single-Stage, Single-Phase Bidirectional AC-DC Converter

This work aims to implement the control system of a single-phase, multi-port AC-DC converter with high-frequency isolation based on dual active bridge (DAB) topology associated three-state switching cell (3SSC) applied distributed generation system. The has one ac port and two dc ports, this being multi-input, multi-output (MIMO) in which there is coupling between input output variables. generalized predictive (GPC) chosen regulate dc-link voltages. GPC well-consolidated approach literature, can deal MIMO coupled systems while presenting friendly-tuning rules. current loop employs traditional proportional plus resonant (P+R) controller because it single-input, single (SISO) characteristic, as advanced controllers are unnecessary. Experiments performed 1-kW prototype validate performance developed show its advantages compared strategies.
